Part 2 Cue Card Practice
1 minute to prepare, 2 minutes to speak. Just like the real exam.
This is a practice timer — speak aloud to practice your timing. No audio is recorded. For scored feedback, take the Diagnostic ($2.99).
Part 2 Cue Card
Describe a subject you studied at school that you found particularly interesting.
You should say:
- what the subject was
- who taught it
- what you learned
and explain why it was so interesting to you.
Part 2 Tips
- 1.Speak for the full 2 minutes — short responses cap your Fluency score.
- 2.Use the bullet points as your roadmap — cover each one in order.
- 3.If you run out of things to say, add details: “Another thing I’d like to mention is...”
- 4.Don’t memorize scripts — examiners detect memorized answers.
- 5.Record yourself and listen back. Most speakers are surprised by their filler words.
